To empower Arizona communities through education and human services
About the InternshipDuties:
Here at Academia Del Pueblo, we are looking for individuals who are looking to have direct interactions with our k-8th-grade students. Individuals who are interested in serving as tutors across all grade levels all while promoting higher education to potential first-generation graduates.
The program consists of an academic portion and a recreational portion. The academic portion looks to assist students with 'classroom needs', meanwhile the recreation portion consists of sports, art, dance, and much more.
Academia del Pueblo served Kinder to 8th-grade students. A majority of the population consists of minorities and students who are underserved.
Academia del Pueblo is currently a C rated school and many of our students are potential first-generation graduates. What they require is additional assistance and guidance in order to persevere and see college as an option. We are looking to form leaders in our community and our youth is where it starts.
Our community will benefit from your assistance primarily by giving students a safe place to be after the school day. After school programs provide many benefits including increased academic efforts, improved leadership skills, and fewer behavioral concerns.
