About the Internship

Duties:

Intern will assist Intergenerational Project Manager in planning and conducting activities with our preschool and adult day center members.  Duties may include but are not limited to assisting with set up and clean up of activities, researching enrichment activities that both populations can engage in and bond over, leading activities, assisting members with activities.

 

 

Population Served:

We serve preschool children ages 1 - 5 and seniors experiencing early to moderate Alzheimer's and dementia at our Main Campus.

Community Need:

Seniors are often isolated from the younger members of their families, and our preschoolers often do not have grandparents or other elders close. This program enables both groups to interact and support the other.

Community Impact:

Both the seniors and the children need assistance to engage in activities. Without caring, helpful leaders these projects would not be possible.
