Interventionist/Teacher and School Support

Vista College Prep

Through academic rigor and leadership development, Vista College Prep educates all K-5 students for success in middle school, achievement in high school, and graduation from college.

About the Internship

Learn from some of the strongest teachers and leaders in the state!  This past year, Vista College Prep students scored in the top 6% in the state for literacy and the top 11% in the state for math.  Our teachers and staff are eager to support intern candidates in a variety of ways.

 - Intervention Groups

 - Working one-on-one with scholars who need additional support

 - Video recording instruction to serve as a model for all teachers

 - Supporting with student enrichment activities (e.g. coding)

Population Served:

Vista College Prep is a Title I school serving K-5 students.  Nearly 100% of our students qualify for free or reduced price lunch.

Community Need:

The majority of our students will be the first in their family to attend college.  You have an opportunity to help support their journey as we truly believe that the preparation for college starts in kindergarten!

Community Impact:

Interns will be able to have a direct impact as Vista College Prep teachers are working to close the achievement gap every single day.
