Community Engagement Programs offers opportunities for community organizations and schools to partner with us to host ASU interns or tutoring programs and for K-12 teachers to participate in service-learning workshops.


Host a service-learning intern

Do you teach at a Phoenix-area Title I school or does your organization engage in community outreach? You may qualify as a University Service-Learning Community Partner and have ASU student-interns placed at your organization or school at no cost to you.

Attend a K-12 service-learning workshop

K-12 teachers may participate in a full-day University Service-Learning professional development workshop to learn how to effectively implement an engaging service-learning teaching methodology with their students.

Host a tutoring or mentoring program

The ASU America Reads Program partners with local schools and community centers to offer tutoring and mentoring services to children living in low income areas or attending Title 1 schools. Children are matched with an ASU student as their tutor/mentor; programming is funded through a cost-share partnership.
